The Ordering Process

A $1000.00 non-refundable deposit will secure your build slot at the current price-list, and go towards the total cost of the guitar. Before beginning the build, we will discuss options available and what will best suit your needs. Thirty days prior to beginning the work on your guitar I will send you an invoice outlining the full specs and options chosen as well as the full price of the instrument, excluding shipping fees and import taxes. Once agreed upon, 50% of the remaining balance will be due to begin working on the guitar and the options and specs may not be changed unless to the agreement of both parties. The remaining 50% of the balance will be due at the completion of the instrument. Once the guitar has been paid in full the guitar will be shipped using FedEX.

If you would like to commission an instrument, or have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

Other Policies

Warranty: My instruments have a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner as long as I am in business as a guitar maker. This warranty is extended to the original owner only and is not transferable to subsequent owners. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or cracks due to changes in temperature or humidity, nor does it cover normal wear of finish, frets, or gold plating. I do not guarantee cases, tuning machines or pickups, as they are covered by their respective manufacturers. Shipping costs due to warranty work will be the responsibility of the owner.

Returns and Refunds: All commissioned instruments include a 5-day grace period from when the instrument is delivered to let the customer ensure that it meets their expectations. If, for any reason, the customer is not satisfied with the instrument they must contact Riviere Guitars within five days of taking delivery of the instrument. If the customer wishes to return the guitar, shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer, and the instrument must be returned in new condition. The return amount will be equal to the full paid amount minus the deposit ($1000.00). The customer will receive a refund after the instrument has been re-sold.
